3 Simple Tips to Get Your Car Ready for Summer

As the temperatures rise, it’s time to make sure your vehicle is ready for the heat, road trips, and long drives ahead. At Rubicon Automotive Group, we know how important it is to keep your car running smoothly—especially in the summer months when heat can take a toll on your vehicle. Here are three essential tips to help you prep your car for the season.

1. Check Your Cooling System

Your engine works hard in the summer, and an efficient cooling system is key to avoiding overheating. Check your coolant level, look for leaks, and make sure your radiator and hoses are in good shape. If it’s been a while since your last flush and fill, this is the perfect time to get it done.

2. Test Your Battery

Heat can drain your battery faster than you think. Make sure yours is in top shape by checking the charge and cleaning off any corrosion on the terminals. If your battery is more than three years old, consider getting it tested—or replaced—to avoid getting stranded in the summer heat.

3. Inspect Your Tires

Tire pressure fluctuates with temperature changes, and worn tires can be dangerous on hot pavement. Check the tread depth and inflate your tires to the recommended pressure listed in your owner’s manual. Don’t forget the spare!

Summer should be spent on the road, not on the side of it. Let us help you drive with confidence all season long.
